Why You Have Flu without a cough or a runny nose?
Is it possible to have the flu without a cough, sore throat or a runny nose? I feel ill, but besides lacking these symptoms, I’m getting everything else like fatigue, joint/muscle aches, arm and leg weakness (which I emphasize), and loss of appetite. Sudden onset too – fine yesterday, then all those symptoms kicked in after returning home from a long and tiring trip to the city. Also had an upset stomach at some point during the day. The only thing I’m not sure if I have is a temperature, but that’s only because I’m bedridden and without a thermometer.
Best Answer: With the flu, you may feel very weak and fatigued for up to two or three weeks. You’ll have muscle aches and periods of chills and sweats as fever comes and goes. You may also have a stuffy or a runny nose, headache, and sore throat.

Oh yes. But rarely did I get it like that, but no tonsillitis. I always hated that nasty flu. I only got the flu once since I have been getting flu shots. Before that, every stinking winter I used to get it. I seriously recommend getting one only when a person is completely well and feeling their best otherwise they may risk getting the flu. Some folks actually get the flu and get a flu shot and don’t realize that they were already infected and blame the shot. Docs usually give some good cough syrup with codeine in it. If that doesn’t do the whole trick ask for cough syrup and some Vicodin. it has Tylenol in it to help lower the fever and the pain med in it too to help you. Hope you feel better.
